PS3 announcements at GDC
Phil Harrison, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, is preparing to make a keynote speech at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference, set to take place at the San Jose Convention Center on March 22nd at 10:30 am.
The title of the keynote will be “PlayStation 3: Beyond the Box.” According to Sony representatives, the speech will focus on a “what’s next theme,” highlighting “various development and business opportunities” for the PS3.
Though there are few specifics in the press release, it’s possible that Sony will use this keynote to formally announce their widely rumored online gaming service, “PlayStation HUB.”
Sony’s official stance on these reports is that they are “purely speculative.”
